Moving on
Hey fellow readers,
Change is good,
hence I've moved here.
Relink, if you wish :)
Those of us who are in this world to educate and to care for young children have a special calling: a calling that has very little to do with expensive possessions but has a lot to do with the worth inside of hearts and heads. ~ Fred Rogers

Feeling the Sunday evening blues.
Knowing there's a new week ahead,
yet thoughts and things cloud the mind.
It's a sinking feeling that creeps in.
Aiko asked me yet again today at lunch:
" Jiejie, when are you
coming to my house to swim? "
I looked at her cherubic smile,
and couldn't bear to give her
the answer which I knew
would disappoint her.
How can you tell a child you're too busy
to even spend an afternoon with her?
It breaks my heart to know that
a mountain of work awaits,
and I cannot, as much as all of me wants to,
spend an afternoon having a fun time at the pool
with this dear girl.
Where has time gone, I ask myself.
With all that's happening,
moments like these just go by in
the blink of an eye.
Sigh, sigh.
